Oppo I Think I'm Gettin Sick Again...

I think I caught a bad case of the car mod bug again... yikes.

I promised and kept telling myself a new car needs no mods, and that I would not make my money back on them so why even bother... or that they may even make warranty work (if ever needed) near impossible.. but well, at just over a year and 3 months of ownership of Tasha, I can't sit still anymore.

Here are some of the things on my actual list to buy (or need to be talked out to quite badly to not buy):

- Motordyne CB Exhaust:

Annnnnnnnnnd there goes like $5k in those mods alone :( Not to mention I still want to get some Long Tube Headers, High Flow Cats, and probably intake. And once that is all done, I'll definitely need a tune since my entire airflow system will be different... STOP ME!

On the bright side, I ordered one of these last night:

So tell me Oppo, when was the last time you caught the mod bug? Has it gotten better? If not, pictures! show them mods!

Hey thats why you buy a mustang. the mods are much cheaper. and they sound better *pokes at the Z*

I know :( I admit to both of those, and to wanting to buy a Mustang for those reasons. The GT 350 is the next sports car I'm buying as soon as I buy another DD. I don't see many other things replacing my Z other than that beast

Well you do have the Option of a 12-13 BOSS 302 they will offer better performance right now. They will also be cheaper then the GT350

The key to surviving the mod bug, is to catch a case of the poors. Donate all your monies to me and then you don't have to worry about the mod bug.

Yeah but it brings me back to why I'm not looking at buying any cars right now:

a) just finishing divorce, not really wanting to get in more debt
b) this car is just over a year, can't really change it just yet
c) need a daily driver that can handle snow before I torture another RWD with summer only tires in the winter here in KC
d) IRS for the GT350!!!!

But I'll admit, the Boss 302 has always been a serious contender, if there had been one around while I was car shopping that would've ended up mine instead of the Z. But the nismo and the boss are both bad ass versions of a car I already like. So I don't feel like I lost out

I have a 240Z, if I were to buy a new car, I like older ones, it would be a nice new 370, its so much prettier than the 350.

I love the 240, I'd have one as a weekend racer if I could afford one. And Agreed, the lines of the 370 are different but much nicer in my opinion too
